Advanced Columns is in a BETA release, therefore, its features are evolving quickly and screenshots seen below may be a bit different of the current version deployed on your Jira instance. We will do our best to keep this documentation as updated as we can!

✍️ Step-by-Step:

  • From the homepage:

  1. Access the homepage by navigating to “Apps” and clicking on “Advanced Columns”:

  1. Locate the board you want to share, click on (blue star) and on “Share” right after.

  • From within the board:

  1. Once inside the board, click on (blue star) and on “Share” right after.

  1. On the modal below, you will be able to share your board with:

  • My organization: Any logged user of your site.

  • Group: You can choose one or more groups that you have access.

  • User: You can choose single users of your site.

  • Private: Only you will have access to the board.

After each selection, click on “Add” to include it to the shares.

📝 Important Tips:

  • When creating a board, you can share it with your organization by ensuring the toggle Public is enabled. If you leave this toggle disabled, the board will be set as Private by default.

  • You can also share your boards with all groups in your Jira instance, either you’re a member of them or not.

  • If you try to access a board you haven’t been granted access to, you’ll be directed to a default restriction page.
