Contributors are users that can either view, edit or manage your whiteboards. By appointing those users, they’ll be able to dynamically collaborate with your work.

From the homepage or within a whiteboard, click on the at the far right and select the option Share:
On the window Contributors, you can see the default role for your whiteboard, as well as the individual roles for any contributors manually added:
