Advanced Columns is in a BETA release, therefore, its features are evolving quickly and screenshots seen below may be a bit different of the current version deployed on your Jira instance. We will do our best to keep this documentation as updated as we can!
✍️ Step-by-Step:
From the homepage:
Access the homepage by navigating to “Apps” and clicking on “Advanced Columns”:
On the homepage, choose the board you want to share, click on and on “Share” right after.
From within the board:
Once inside the board, click on and on “Share” right after.
Once the modal is opened, you have to configure the viewers.
Viewers: Here you choose who will be able to access your board.
Viewers options
My organization: Any logged user of your site.
Group: You can choose one or more groups that you have access.
User: You can choose single users of your site.
Private: Only you will have access to the board.
Select the options you want to have access to the board. In each option you have to click “Add” next to it.
📝 Important Tips:
When you create a board, you can share the board with your organization by ensuring the flag Public is enabled. At the same time, if you leave flag is disabled, your board sharing will be set as Private, meaning only you can access.
You can also share your boards with all groups in your Jira instance, therefore you can share boards with your not a member of.
