✍️ Step-by-Step:

  • From the homepage:

  1. Access the homepage by navigating to “Apps” and clicking on “Advanced Columns”:.

  1. Access the board you wish to share by clicking on its name.

  2. Once inside the board, click on (blue star) and on “Share” right after.:

You can share your board with the following options:

  • My organization: Any logged user of your site.

  • Group: You can choose one or more groups that you have access.

  • User: You can choose single users of your site.

  • Private: Only you will have access to the board.

  1. Click on “Add” after each selection add it as a viewer:

Click on “Save” to apply the changes and make your board available to the selected viewers.

📝 Important Tips:

  • When creating You can share a board , you can share it with your whole organization upon creation by ensuring enabling the toggle Public is enabled Public toggle on the creation screen. If you leave this toggle it disabled, the newly created board will be set as Private by default.

  • You can also share your boards board with all the groups in your Jira instance, either even if you’re not a member of them or not.

  • If you try to access When accessing a board you haven’t been granted access to, you’ll be directed redirected to a default restriction page informing you’re either lacking permission to view it or the board does not exist anymore.
