Advanced Columns is in a BETA release, therefore, its features are evolving quickly and screenshots seen below may be a bit different of the current version deployed on your Jira instance. We will do our best to keep this documentation as updated as we can!

✍️ Step-by-Step:

  • From the homepage:

  1. Access the homepage by navigating to “Apps” and clicking on “Advanced Columns”.

  2. Locate the board you want to share, click on (blue star) and on “Share” right after:

  • From within the board:

  1. Access the board you wish to share by clicking on its name.

  2. Once inside the board, click on (blue star) and on “Share” right after:

  1. Once the modal has opened, you will be able to set administrators to your board by selecting an option on the field “Admins”:

You can set the following options as board admins:

  • Group: You can choose up one or more groups that you’re a member of.

  • User: You can choose one or more users from your instance.

  • Private: Only you and the board owner will have administrative privileges over the board.

  1. Click on “Add” after each selection add it as an admin:

Click on “Save” to apply the changes and make the selected users or groups admins to your board.

📝 Important Tips:

  • Administrators can perform all operations on your board, so make sure to add adequate users. For more information on what operations can be performed on a dynamic board, visit the previews topics on our documentation.

  • The owner of a board will have all the administrative privileges by default, regardless of being listed as a board admin or not. This special permission is irrevocable.
