When looking for a specific board within the homepage it can be tiring to scroll manually through the list, so the board search feature allows users to quickly find specific boards based on either their name or description. This way, besides finding a board faster, you also guarantee a larger range of data when bringing back results. You can also look for boards that have specific as users as either owners or admins. Below, there is a step-by-step guide on how to use the search feature:

✍️ Step-by-Step:

  • Search Bar:

  1. Access the homepage by navigating to “Apps” and clicking on “Advanced Columns”:

  1. Click on the search bar located at the top-left corner:

  1. Type your search:

The search is dynamic, meaning it will match the results as you type.

  1. To clear your text search and the results brought, you can either click on the X icon within the bar or completely reset all the three fields by clicking on “Clear Filters” on the further right. Once your search cleared, all the boards will reappear.

  • Filter Owner:

  1. Click on the “Owner” field.

  1. A list of all available board owners will be returned and you can then select one or more users to view which boards belong to them.

  2. To clear your search, click on “Clear Filters” on the further right. Once your search cleared, all the boards will reappear.

Admin Filter:

  1. Click on the “Admin” field.

  1. A list of all available board administrators will be returned and you can then select one or more users to view in which boards they have this role.

  2. To clear your search, click on “Clear Filters” on the further right. Once your search cleared, all the boards will reappear.

📝 Important Tips:

  • If your search for both owner and admin, the results will bring only boards in which both of them are, respectively, owner and admin.

  • You can conduct a more specific search by using more than one field. Note that, by doing this, you’ll be only bringing boards in which all of the fields match.

  • User the “Clear Filters” if you wish to clear all the fields at the same time. If you only want to clear the text on the search bar, use the X button instead.
